Preserving the Legacy of Oklahoma History and Heroes
The Heartland of America Museum, located on the southeast edge of Weatherford, Oklahoma, offers visitors an immersive journey through history with over 32 major exhibits and nearly 40 cabinet displays, featuring artifacts from the late 1800s to the 1950s. Among the highlights are a Vietnam-era Huey helicopter restored to honor veterans, a historic 1931 Ford Model "A," and themed buildings such as a 1930s diner, schoolhouse, and blacksmith shop. As a nonprofit foundation, the museum relies on donations and memberships to continue preserving and sharing the legacy of America's heartland.

Wonderful to travel back in time a bit and learn a bit about the area. Great for all ages and, for you Elvis lovers, the museum has a diner in which Elvis ate in several times.
